He is going to try all year long.  if the female is not in the process, she wont lock. you may see a lock, but sometime there is not copulation in there, sometimes you get fake locks. if you want to put them no matter what,  keep them 3 days on and off, an do not stop feeding in this 3 days.

Good luck.

Thanks for the answer. But both female off feeding for a while. That is why I placed the male in. Someone told me they will either breed or the female will get back to feed. Now neither of those happened. What do you think I should do ?

Thanks again

What's the weight on the Females?  Try to keep offering food once a week, no more than that, are you regulating temperatures?

Ball pythons go off feeding a lot, not only for breeding season. i have females that eat until the ovulate, others do note eat and are not even in size yet.

you can keep putting the male with the females on an off, but do not stop the feeding.

The male really wants to breed her. I have 2 female off feed for 3 month already. They are 1600 and 2500. het pied and pastel.

My male still eating during breeding. But the females won't eat. I didn't drop the temp or did anything to change the temp. Some one told me putting a male in may help them to get back to eating or breed. Nothing happen yet. All I seen was my male keep trying and trying to mate. Poor guy.

I will keep offering food. I doubt they will take it. :( I hope they get back to feeding soon.

Yes, Keep doing as you are,  better 3 days on and 3 days off, feed on the 2nd day off and if it eats, give them an extra day off.  good luck .

Maybe he didn't buy her dinner first, you know, like a gentleman ;-)

...kidding! Good luck changing it up a little, I hope it takes! (that's a gorgeous pied you've got there!)
