As in never stays still?  Some of mine do this at times.  But they settle down.  What typ of caging is she in?  How many hides, perching, et?

I believe it is a "periscope" type of behavior, to be able to see and smell better.   Like in this video here (near the end around 5:40) at the end it shows the behavior:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE8TBLXHNKA

And the video comments say:
I love taking my snakes outdoors for some freedom and really enjoy watching them periscope so they can see and smell and taste better with their head and neck up off the ground."  And that makes sense to me :)

no thats not it. its more like her middle to bottom half of her body and it moves like she swallowing something. moves back and forth like a stomach ache.

Have you ruled out anything accidentally stuck in her scutes, or mites?  I've never seen what you're describing, so hopefully someone with more experience with this can post on it, but those are the only things I can think to check. I do wish you good luck in finding out the answer! Smile

My Burm did that when he had mites, like he was always trying to scratch himself. May want to check.

I don't have FB so I can't check out your video, I know that female will do this when incubating eggs (at least the way you described it) But of course you'd know if she had a clutch. Its a way of regulating her body temps. to warm up herself, and when incubating the clutch. I have several carpets and have never noticed any doing this.

What are the temps. in your room? Do you notice anything odd like star gazing occasionally or laying weird?

its not incubating shivers. not sure what it is. the ambient temp is 83-85. no odd laying or anything other than her flattening out the last quarter of her back to vent.  i dunno.
