Aimee

you will rarely see a snake drink, so that's not something to worry about.

how long ago did you get the snake? I'm betting if you "just got it" then you need to give him more time to settle in.

also, if you can, please pose the clearest picture of your snake. how old is he? what size? how are you housing him, what substrate, what are his temperatures?

To encourage drinking, you can soak him in a bin with about an inch of water. If he's thirsty, he'll very likely drink.

As Aimee asked - provide us with the details of his temperatures - what is the temperature on the cool side, what is it on the warm side? What is the heat source, etc. Often knowing those things gives us a better picture and we are able to offer better suggestions.

Give it some time to settle in and don't handle it for a few days. I assume it's got a hide that's not too spacious. Try it with live fuzzy (or thawed if no choice) at night and check on it in the morning. I remember reading so many bad things about pet smart (sounds like the McDs of the reptile world to me), so don't assume it was eating at all. Just imagine how many times it's been handled poorly by prospective customers who don't know one end from the other or that it has a back bone at all. I am sure it will be fine once settled if your temps and humidity are right. Plenty of time to answer the questions above.

If he's having loose defecatios, bringing a fecal sample to a vet would probably be a good idea to check for internal parasites.
