I guess I always have herps on the mind...

Posted by Sonja K. at 5/24/2013 2:30:43 PM

Looking out the window at my yard, I know most people would think, OMG! That yard looks like heck!

I look out... see the dandelions in full bloom and think, OMG! The Tortoises are gonna be in heaven! I can't wait to get them out there!

If anybody was gonna understand, I know you guys would! Laughing

you might be a herper if... you pick grass away from your weeds so that they'll grow bigger and healthier. I take very good care of my weeds... LOL!

here at my house our dandelions are the kind with the big, broad, meaty and leafy plants. They can get absolutely enormous!

I get ones with various shaped leaves here. I wonder if it has anything to do with the amount of sun they get?

I don't put any chemicals on my lawn. I love being able to take the tortoises out - and I will! I'll have to take some pics of them to add to this later. (As long as the rain holds off.)

I looked at my lawn this morning. I need goats.

The horses love dandelions too, I always try to pick a bunch for Epic and he always seems so happy to get them.

George, I had goats, the will destroy everything you have and I'm pretty sure they were partially blamed for the dust bowl, but if that's what you want, I'd get some of those fainting goats.  That would never get old for me.

I can get plenty of those around here. They stay small and if they eat too much I can just clap real loud and *plop*. Plus I know a few retic owners.......

I was thinking Larry would have appreciated a goat or two, too. Too bad Em had to let Larry go.

I wish we had dandelions in our little pathetic yard for the skinks...I've consider stealing dandelions, or taking donations... ROFL

I keep joking that I'm going to fill over my lawn with concrete. One of these days...

^^My husband says the same thing. The only problem is in the winter you have more to shovel. Yuk.

Why the hell would I shover my concrete lawn? I'm only required to shovel the walk so that no one has to walk in the road. Anyone in the lawn is trespassing and subject to assault by dog. Or marijuana. It depends on who is in the lawn.

Well pudding, that makes sense. Don't know why I was thinking the whole thing had to be shoveled.

Forgot iherp was doing that.
