Florida Folks! Who's going to Daytona in August???????

Well, being born and raised in Florida, and having have lived in Miami, Orlando, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, I would like to know how many are from the Sunshine State, and what part. Actually, we should be called the Triple H state (Heat, Humidity, Hurricanes) Who's going to Daytona show in August?

	I wish I was going... I haven't found anyone who's willing to take the 16-hour road trip and split gas/hotel costs with me yet.

	i have been to the Daytona show 3 times and didn't get to go last year. i have a slim chance to go, but it probably won't work out...

	Hey! I lived in Cape Coral for all of high school, worked in Fort Myers, and I've also lived in Gainesville and Tampa....in addition to the Midwest. I should be there at Daytona...I'm probably going to be staying in a local campground to save funds if anyone likes camping!

	Nick, you are just 2 hours North of where I am at (Cape Coral). Anyone else from the TRIPLE H state? Aaron, by the way, I might help out at the booth (if you plan to have one again) if you need some live IHERP ANSWERS, or just a bit of help promoting IHERP!

	2 hrs is debatable...I drive quickly :) I come down your way occasionally to visit old friends and such. I went to Mariner High School, so I still have lots of friends down there. Have a little bit of family down there too.

	Lauren, You have to come down...you're bringing me one of those jag babies remember? lol :) It is very inconveniently timed given the school situation. If it were a few weeks later, it'd be awesome, because I'd have all of my extra scholarship money to blow....and I'd come home with a bunch of animals....maybe that wouldn't be so awesome.

	florida panthers, not pumas :P We are very specific about that! and if ya see one count your lucky stars cause they are damn near impossible to come across in the wild.... gators.. not so much lol, but getting eaten is pretty rare hahaha I will be at the show for sure! i'm only 2 hours south of it :) there are plans on the darkside and at herpfamily for a big beach party afterwards...we are still workin things out, but ya'll should join in the planning process! we could just have one big ass crazy reptile lovers after party! :D

	lol, Nick--- I actually get my loan money all direct deposited into my account... before school starts... Now that would be bad. Me spending all my money on snakes when I'm supposed to be using it for rent.. Psh its not like me or the dog need to eat.

	Anyone from Illinois going??? I really want to go but its not worth it to me financially but I'd love to split gas with someone.....?

	Last time I camped it was ~$20/night for the site and you could have two vehicles there....pretty reasonable, it's probably gotten a little more expensive. That was a Blue Springs State Park, which is an outstanding warm freshwater spring....it is a bit of a manatee sanctuary because of the warm spring. http://www.floridastateparks.org/bluespring/default.cfm Like Sylvias said, being attacked by a panther...it's about as likely as waking up with a big burm next to you... :) lol Gators rarely attack....the last attack I heard of the guy was admittedly naked, smoking crack, and standing knee deep in a pond at 4 in the morning. A lady woke up from all the splashing and called the police...a "tug of war" ensued and the guy lost an arm or a leg...I forget which. I thought it was a pretty funny story. My biggest fear while camping in Florida is the state bird....The mosquito! And...if a FL panther did decide to try and "get" us...there would be one less and they would be that much closer to extinction. After being stalked by a mountain lion (while bow hunting for deer) for a few miles when I was younger, I decided to no longer go into the heavy woods without being armed to my teeth :) Mr. Beretta makes for a good sidekick. Lauren, they make me wait until after the drop/add period because a majority of my money is free money ...but I wish they'd shoot me my loan money prior to the show....that'd be awesome. I'd imagine your puppy really puts some food down lol.

	Northern Cuba.............Miami right? I use to live in that Rat Race about 8 years ago! That place is nuts! The traffic is sooooo frustrating I had to get out!
