Rascal, 2nd update!

Things have been a little crazy on my end but I finally have some great news on my mom and Rascal. My mom has been very busy getting things in the house sorted and she has made many donations to the Veterans and the Salvation Army (since my dad passed). In the midst of all the aftermath of my dad passing, she has accomplished a lot. She has also decided (to my complete and utter JOY) to keep Rascal. She and my sister have worked out ways for my mom to go away for shorter, more frequent trips (except for Florida) and I bought Rascal an Illusion Collar and leash set and my mom and I worked with her and she does really well with it. She also cut down a lot of the larger trees in the yard and now she can let Rascal utilize the whole yard at her own pace which has been helping to expel a lot more of her energy. The larger, older trees presented a problem for Rascal as many of the roots were above ground and my mom felt they were dangerous for her. I can't tell you how happy I am that she has changed her thinking about having her... she has realized that it's nice to have her there for the companionship and the protection now that she is alone.

On another note... this whole situation has changed things for me as well! An opportunity has presented itself for me in Texas and I will be moving at the beginning of October! I couldn't be more excited!! The next few months will be packing, visiting and attending to final details! I am hopeful that the coming year will be full of hope and happiness after such a long, hard winter this year.

	Yes... on all counts! LOL...I am very happy! To be moving to a warmer climate again and have the opportunity to do what I WANT to do and not what I HAVE to do is the BEST feeling!!
