Today was such a beautiful day I decided to get a head start on my summer tan, and I brought out my beloved blue tongue skink, Toothless, with me. He seemed to enjoy the time out in the sunlight, and spent the first hour just laying next to me with his eyes closed, basking. Then he got bored, and began exploring, which was totally fine - and part of the reason I had him outside to begin with, for some enrichment, since he loves cruising around.
While exploring the area around my tanning chair, he discovered a chunk of concrete. Now, bear in mind, this skink will eat anything I offer him. Canned insects of all kinds, any fresh fruits or veggies I offer him, live insects and mice of all shapes and sizes, he's even eating rep cal pelleted bearded dragon food and attempted to eat rawhide dog bones (see his photos). He also has a wierd foot fetish, and will chase me around trying to eat my toes. With this in mind, it should be no surprise what he did when he discovered concrete.

That's right, he tried to eat it. He really tried, too. When I picked him up he hung on to that chunk of concrete like it was made out of raw steak, and he had no intentions of letting go. I had to take it away from him two more times before I finally just chucked it over the fence where he couldn't get it.
He searched for it for several minutes, then gave up and crawled under my pillow and went to sleep. It's a hard life, being a skink.
