One of my favorite bacon recipies is Bacon Mac&Cheese! But eggs cooked in maple bacon grease are also amazing!

Nope. lol. I guess I need to send you some more hot peppers via mail since I won't be in Spokane next week to deliver them in person!

Amanda ,

Had a bacon cheddar burger this evening for dinner to celebrate the holiday!

Rebecca ,

I was thinking I had missed out... then I realized I had stuffed & baked clams for lunch that had some lovely bacon in the mix.  YUM.  :)

Misty Davis,

Mystic Exotics ,

Yes! I don't suppose you have a spare plant do you? ;) Hey, we could make this an annual thing :D

gfx,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 3:27:59 AM

I drown most of my plantlings this year, then one of the survivors got drunk at chondrofest and missed the bus. Damn plants.

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 3:31:28 AM

Haha! Likely story ;)

gfx,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 3:34:54 AM

Its true! Ask Aaron!!

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 3:53:27 AM

Uh-huh....riiight

Aaron Florian,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 7:59:57 AM

I attest this is true.

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 11:02:21 PM

She bribed you with bacon & hot peppers, didn't she? I see how she is ;)

Rebecca ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 11:17:58 PM

LOL  :)

Julie, I am still in love with those pepper poppers you made

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 11:19:24 PM

Rebecca, were they wrapped in bacon?

Rebecca ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 11:21:29 PM

I'm trying to remember... I think they were just loaded with cream cheese & sausage... there was enough flavor it was kinda bacon-like.  Perhaps the same stuffing made with bacon would actually deliver a heart attack though...  lol

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/5/2011 11:34:06 PM

Meh, gotta enjoy life while we're here, right? :D

Rebecca ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 12:34:40 AM

this is true  :)

gfx,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 12:40:48 AM

Rebecca had the sweet peppers....well, until that Cumari lol.

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:15:33 AM

She survived it. LOL

Rebecca ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:15:53 AM

I'm not a fan of pain really.  was that Cumari the little "m&m" pepper thingy?  I think I could feel my face again after about 30 minutes... or maybe I got drunk enough to forget the burning.  I'm not really sure.

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:22:36 AM

I'm guessing it didn't taste like m&m's. LOL

Yikes. Knowing Julie, that sounds like something she would have.

gfx,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:24:03 AM

Yea, that's the one that I didn't think was too hot, but made Chris so damn angry..lol. Must have been because I was chowing on naga poppers while you guys were primarily on the low octane goodies. Love those citrusy little delights. I've got several ripe on the plant right now getting ready to take a trip to a fellow hot-head in Colorado. Share the wealth!

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:33:11 AM

Didn't you warn him? Or was he just mad because you're not really human & can eat insanely hot peppers like they're potato chips?

BTW, showoff...LOL

When are you gonna send me some peppers too? :)

John Flores,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 9:24:31 AM

Am I a bacon heretic for eating turkey bacon on that most sacred day? Turkey bacon sucks by the way.......nothing beats that fried fat goodness that is attached to the other half of REAL bacon.

Rebecca ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 12:34:36 PM

Julie swore "they're not very hot," a few times over.  Then Chris & I got adventurous & tried them... shockingly, we didn't agree with her assessment.  Oh, and those "sweet" peppers I had?  The jalapenos (those weren't actually hot, just a great vehicle for cheese/sausage stuffing) and habaneros, as I recall.  lol  :D

...John, I'm really not sure how to answer your question.  You get points for honesty, but did you really want to admit to eating reconstitued & colored turkey and calling it "bacon?"

gfx,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 12:42:53 PM

You had jalapenos, poblanos and some variety of colored sweet banana pepper, I steered you away from the demonic stuff at your request. I learned from that experience, I didn't realize my tolerance was that high these days. It comes and goes with exposure.

Personally, I embrace anyone who's going to participate in celebrating bacony goodness. I can't imagine why you'd want to rob yourself of the real thing, but people do have their various mythology and health-driven reasons.

Mystic Exotics ,
Posted At: 9/6/2011 1:29:48 PM

All I know, is I knew better than to take a huge bite of those peppers you sent me last year. My brother in law, on the other hand, decided to be brave.  So did my oldest nephew. LOL

Is it really tolerance Julie, or that your tongue probably has no feeling left...?

I have (had) a favorite sushi place up near my old house, that also had bacon wrapped jalapenos (OMG-so good!) They stopped making them, & after about the fifth time of me going in, & asking where the bacon wrapped jalapenos were, they said they don't make them anymore because they take too long to make.  I don't go there very often anymore.
