Probable Super Tessera!!

Posted by Mystic Exotics at 6/10/2019 3:30:22 PM

I started this project in 2015, pairing 1.1 Miami Tessera's that I produced, and over the past couple years have been test breeding a couple of my holdbacks from that pairing.

Hematite is my third male that I have tested, and so far, all of the babies are Tessera's!! I paired him with my LBR Miami female this year.

I have a few females to test breed, and I will pair Hematite with a different (non Tessera) female next year to confirm him as a Super Tessera.

As far as I know, there are only three other known Super Tessera's.

I think there are more out there that haven't been bred (pets), or they aren't familiar with the Tessera gene.

I'm super excited about this!

I don't know if I can add a photo from my phone, but if not, you can see Hematite and the babies that have hatched on my page. :)

Thank you! I'm really excited about this!

I have another clutch due to hatch this coming week from a male sibling to this male, and will find out if that one is as well!

I also have three females from the same clutch that will be tested next year.

Thank you! :)

Lars, yes. One of the others I am aware of is hers.

The babies from my other male out of the Tessera X Tessera have started to hatch, and Obsidian is not HD. It remains to be seen if he is het Amel.

Very awesome news! It's a shame the one I produced went to Lars, only to be sold. But we couldn't have known just by looking at any of them.
