Let my people go...to an Exo

Posted by RedSkyGeckos at 11/16/2012 12:10:41 AM

3 nights in a row a pair of my chewies have escaped from their enclosure. I had a panic attack but found them together on the other chewie pair's exo. I have the escapees in a converted vertical tank, but the door isn't working like it should so I've been taping it shut as a temporary measure. I couldn't figure out how they were getting the tape off of the outside of the cage when I was replacing it with fresh-and more-each time. Well I finally caught them in the act and realized they had an accomplice in their bid for freedom.

I'm not saying that the cat had anarchy on her mind or deep political goals of bringing down The Man; in fact I'm pretty sure she just thinks shipping tape is an aphrodisiac. I don't know what's in that stuff but she would roll it and smoke it if she could. No matter how much tape I put on she was working every single piece of it off so she could sniff it and chew on it. Then the female chahoua-who has always been an escape artist-was pushing the door open by jumping at it and waltzing past the stoned cat with the male chewie following her lead. Then they went over and partied with the neighbors until I caught up with them.

Well tomorrow this animal Woodstock of drugs and free love is coming to an end. I'm going to take the hint and buy them an exo.

lol, so glad the cat didn't make a snack out of them.  I guess they were feeling left out.

@zombie girl: My cat recently ate my juvi pacman frog...I still have no idea how the frog got out as the lid was securely on, and it was on the table where it belonged...I'd never trust him around geckos or any other living thing...my reptile room is kept closed and cat free. I love my cat but hes an asshat
