Racing towards Christmas - 8 Days to Go

Posted by Sonja K. at 12/17/2012 10:13:36 AM

Today's pictures feature my pair of 2012 Cave Racers (aka Cave Dwelling Ratsnakes).

To this point, the male has proved to be the calmer of the two.

The female... well, she is definitely a feisty one!

Hope you enjoyed!

Mine has recently grown the balls to start gaping at me if I so much as cross my eyes wrong.

They are such beautiful snakes. And graceful. And pretty damn sneaky about what trouble their graceful selves are getting into!

I think I'm in love.  The gaping made the whole photoshoot!

EEEEEEE! I have a tiny squiggle that looks just like them! She's a pain in my butt. Out of all of my collection she is the only snake that will starve herself before eating a thawed mouse. I have to make special trips just for her to have live mice. I want to strangle her.... haha I keep on trying and she keeps on inventing new ways to snub me -.-

Shannon, you need business cards to send with your products. I got tons of compliments this weekend at the show & work over my cave dweller necklace.

She just wants to give you some love nips. ;)

So cute!  I know you said we could join in with our own Christmas pics, but I haven't gotten any with the herps yet, so for now I give you Puff, my Showgirl hen:

And this is my "little" brother and I with Puff and one of the Mille Fleur D'Uccles we have, still not sure how we convinced my Mom we should be allowed to bring chickens in for Christmas pics, lol:

Emily Milton,

They aren't your every day chickens.  Therefore, they are put in Christmas pictures.

2 French Hens!  Or, maybe partidges in a pear tree....

Do you grill em or roast em?

Brittany (aka Sarah)  I love non-traditional pics! That's great!

(Did I spell it correct?)

The 3rd pic, the peek-a-boo shot, is sooo cute! And the little girl, if she was trying to be scarey, it didn't work, she is totally adorable!  lol

Lol, yep you spelled it right.  My Mom actually used the shot of us with the chickens for her Christmas card stated that it wasn't Christmas without chickens, lol.

George, missed your comment at first, and not these ones, we get eggs from them, but we do raise meat chickens too and I grill some and roast the others
