Odd patch of white scales on a sand boa???? Please help!

|
My snake currently has this white patch of scales. His substrate is sand, and no its not sand stuck to him. Hes refusing to eat, and has been for almost 3 weeks. He usually NEVER comes above the sand unless its to eat and as of the past 2 weeks hes been roaming the cage almost 24/7. He hasnt shed in about 2 months either, but he by no means looks dull, or like hes going to shed. He seems very agitated and jumpy. Somethings up. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
