This is Piggy. Piggy is approx. 14 inches in length and believed to be a male, though not confirmed. Like most Western Hognose snakes, Piggy has a very mild temperament and likes to get out of his cage and explore. I have witnessed his various defense mechanisms of flattening his neck and sporting the "cobra" hood and hissing. As well as his closed-mouth strikes, but never has he made these displays towards me. His age is also unknown for he is a rescue.
