Deceased Animals

My first bonding with my Chinese Water Dragon, born 4 February, 2011, was on 15 December at the local Petsmart. Diego, the chap who sold him to us, said he came to them in early February, and immediately, I "heard" 4 February. It just stuck with me, and it seemed like it was real, so voila! That's his birthday! Never before had we stopped by the reptile tanks. And just yesterday, a cricket, dead, showed up in the window of my husband's garage, and he was strangely struck by it, and brought it into the house to show me. At the time, it meant nothing to me, but now, we see that this cricket was a message from our little fellow that he was coming our way. This is his food. It was Love at first sight between us, my little Aquarian and I. As soon as we stopped at his tank, he came straight up to us while the others just hung back, disguised amongst the "foliage." He just stared at us through the window, and then kept trying to climb up it, as if to get out. I got an attendant to get him out for us. She had horrible Energy, and he was wiggling all around in her hands. She kept saying, "you gotta be careful about this one - he's really wiggly." As soon as he came into my hands, he calmed down. I just stroked his little head, and he opened his mouth real wide and just stayed like that, staring at me, and finally, fell asleep and stayed asleep. His name came to us like this: originally I thought "Frank." He just seemed to really want a proper "old man" kind of name. But it wasn't supposed to be Frank, he said. ;) So...in keeping with my loyalty to the Man who gave it to me, I asked my Irish husband to give me 5 proper old Irish men names. Oliver was one of them. Oliver! Why, yes! How perfect! He had been in a tank originally with his sister, and she was snatched up, and that left him alone for about a month and a half. He was literally begging, just like the famous orphan with his namesake, for us to take him home! And he's olive green! Oliver!!
