In the past I have had iguanas, geckos, a tarantula, turtles, frogs, ect. When I was 19 I got a job working in a local pet shop and I fell in love with the ball pythons as soon as I picked the first one up. I was unable to get one because I was renting and they did not allowed pets, but more so because the man I was with at the time was afraid of snakes. I never gave up on wanting them though. I was determined that one day I would have them. The man I am with now though (who became, as of 11-15-11, my husband) does not mind them so much as long as they are non-venomous and stay on the smallish side. I can easily and very willingly live within the boundaries that he set. :) We also own our house so, finally, I get to have my snakes! My snakes have been a very long time coming/wanting. They are more than a "hobby" they are my passion and my 'snake room' has become my sanctuary. It is where I retreat to to unwind after a long and/or stressful day. :)~
