Birthdate: 6/26/2012
Comments: 6/9/13 - as much as I hate to do this, I'm calling him deceased. It has been over a month and I cannot find him anywhere... :( I'm totally heartbroken, as he was my first and favorite hatchling from the group...Maybe he will turn up somewhere having lived off the bugs in the house, but I will no longer be actively searching everywhere... RIP little one!
5/12/13 - still AWOL. Maybe I will find him safe and sound for mother's day tomorrow? Also thinking it was actually Mardi Gras I saw on /may 1st, not him... that would explain the disappearing act, though not why MG was out after dark...
5/1/13 - spotted this little one today, but he disappeared into thin air under a shelving unit before I could catch where he went. I'm going to try to trap him, though not 100% sure how...
4/22/13 - went AWOL during feeding, I have yet to find him... Grr! I wish I would have paid better attention. I thought he just went to hide in his foliage after he ate (he does that a lot), but he busted out of his container and took off. I did not notice until 2 days later when I went to feed again and his shoe box was empty... Bandaid had joined him, but has since returned by lure of fresh crickets. C3P0 is holding out in favor of freedom.

9/9/12 - definitely a male... I have 3 definite boys from this set of hatchlings... hoping the other 2 turn out female...

7/8/12 - So after finding the 3rd little hatchling, Lisa decided we should stick to the Star Wars theme and re-name Surprise! to C3PO... so, new name, same geckos ;)

6/29/12 - This little one is doing well so far - chowing down on the fruit flies I dump in every other night. I'm excited to get some crix at the show, and for little Surprise! to get big enough to be able to eat the dubia & hisser nymphs I have. Right now s/he is set up in a large kk with vines. cork bark will be added after the july 8th show, as will some other appropriately small hides. Lisa doesn't believe that I didn't just go out and buy this little one... time to look up sperm retention in pictus...

6/26/12 - Apparently Leela retained sperm from Mr. Miagi last year. This little guy was found peeking out from under the pothos plant in Leela's viv. I did a double-take thinking that the face was too small to be Leela's... It was!! I can't believe this little one made it this far. I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! Hoping there'll be a clutchmate in there soon that I can also snag out and raise up :)
