Thanks tduane, those pictures are a couple of months old. I think it was a burn too, I checked the top of his cage and there were no hot spots. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but after a couple of sheds the spot is gone. I check the top of the screen every so often just to make sure it's not too hot. The problem is he thinks I'm food every time I open his cage. Typical Biak. He is my first GTP, and now I'm hooked. I just picked up my second one last month. I will post some pics of the new guy soon.

Nice looking Biak! The black area on the head looks like it may be a burn. You may want to check the screen where your have that lamp at the top. It may be getting too hot. If it is hot to the touch, then you may want to prop up the lamp on something or hang it above the screen. The snake could potentially be rubbing up against it when it is cruising the cage at night.
