Thank you! I was a huge turtle nerd when I was a kid. Yellowbelly Sliders are sold in EVERY pet store in southwest Florida, since Red Eared Sliders were banned a couple years back (but now Red Ears seem to be legal again?? I dunno). That big yellow blotch on the neck is a dead giveaway. Gotta love 'em. Great turtles and great pets. Congrats!!

Very cute... but I THINK what you may have is a Yellowbelly Slider (Trachemys scripta scripta), two of them actually.
