Comments:	8/18/16 - AJ was euthanized at the vet. The tumor had become too problematic. :( 7/13/16 - she's got a large spindle-fiber tumor on her jaw and skull. It's likely infiltrating her brain also, as she's been "falling" as she tries to move about. She's also gone off-food (she will strike and miss, or "kill" and leave it). The tumor has doubled in size in two weeks... :( totally heartbroken. She's one of my favorites... 6/8/13 - noticed mites today. ugh! cleaned and sterilized cage. treated her for the mites. Have to get out and get more PAM. I'm going to keep an eye on the other snakes to make sure that did not get it. Really glad she is still in quarantine and away from the others. I'm still a tad on the paranoid side though, and will keep a keen eye out for more mites everywhere else. Ugh! I HATE mites!!! 6/2/13 - she's been soaking all day. Took her first quail (with me anyway) without issue. She knew exactly what to do to get it down and had no problems like SC had with his first quail. I'm guessing she had them in her previous life. 5/11/13 - AJ has an insane feeding response! She hit the rat right out of the tongs... nuts! 5/1/13 - she's got quite the personality. I think she may be my first spit-fire adult carpet... She's VERY active but also quite nervous/annoyed with handling. I have my work cut out for me. 4/21/13 - Name Almond Joy in honor of Uncle Joel, who celebrated his 90th Birthday today (it's his favorite candy, how could I deny that request?) 4/20/13 - New little girl I picked up as an impulse buy upon seeing how dark she is. Needs a bit of work in terms of hydration and feeding, but should be good. I like the suggested morph name of "Super Melanistic Chocolate Phase IJ" so I'm making note of it here. If I ever decide to breed her and find an equally dark male, I will sell the offspring as such ;)
