Hi Lars, she's doing super well. She would probably eat every day if I let her! I think she may be gravid, but she's quite muscular so she resists my attempts to palpate her. She just went blue, so I'll pop a lay box in there for her just in case. Thanks again!

Hi Sindrix, thanks for taking the time to check out my snakes! Astrid is actually my most recent acquisition, although she is the oldest and largest. I am a big fan of really red amels. Wilma (who actually was my first snake) is a red factor amel, which makes her more red than usual. The camera I use is a Canon Rebel DSLR. I really like it a lot. It has lots of different functions, but it's easy for an amateur like me to use.

Hey Hypno. Been meaning to check out your collection forever. Love Astrid and I can see how this one definitely must have a place in your heart being the first you owned. LOVE her color and am looking for something similar for my next snake as you saw in recent threads. Nanci has some Amel stripes hatching soon I will be keeping my eye on. Not really the same, but obviously similar. These pictures of Astrid really do it for me though. The red factor in these deeper amels is just breath taking. Great shot in the second pic with her all wound up on your hand/arm too. What type of camera do you use?
