Comments:	Unexpected hatchling from a left-over egg. I thought I had dug all the eggs out of the viv after I no longer had Erica, but apparently I missed some. This is a little partial pin from Erica and Melman. These last 2 were a total surprise. I had not watered the viv or left out food for about a month now (not since it's been empty). It was very dry in there. I'm really surprised the eggs made it to hatching. I found #8 first (just realized I messed-up my numbering which is why #8 was found before #7) as I was finally starting to tear down the empty vivs. He was very weak and dehydrated. I placed him in a tupperware with pedialyte and water. He struggled a bit when I first picked him up, but went downhill fast. He never did open his mouth. He passed about 40 minutes after I found him. It seemed that the last 3 hatchlings which looked like this one were all very weak. None of them made it, with 2 dying the day of hatch. I'm thinking this particular pairing had a genetic issue that seemed tied to this particular color pattern. All 3 of them had shorter snouts, much smaller at hatch, and did not seem able to open their mouths at all (even when gently pried). RIP #8.
