Thanks for the comments people... That whole breeding season was a failure for me so I'm guessing there was something else wrong (supplementation of the parents, food-intoxication of the parents, incubation temperature, incubation humidity... Could be anything). I'm changing many things from my methods this year to see if I get better results. I'm very open about both my successes and failures, I don't know about other breeders... Usually mutations cut out metabolic pathways, although there is usually several ways to do the same thing. But the more you combine mutations, the more metabolic pathways you cut out and you are risking to the animal being totally unable to assimilate some minerals, vitamins, etc... Did I make sense? But I don't think just two mutations at once (Mack Snow and Bell albino) can cause that and... I'm a genetics geek, I just can't not work with high-end morphs, lol!! I'm trying again this year with the same pairing, and if I get the same results, I won't breed them together again. But they are both from different breeders (not blood relation as far as I know, they even are very different in terms of looks, size, pattern, etc) and there are many Mack Snow Bells and several Super Snow Bells around already, so... I think the fault is probably mine, not theirs.

Yikes, poor thing. Hopefully just a fluke... but when you start getting into these extreme morphs I have to wonder how often it happens with other breeders and we just never hear about it...
