Comments:	Neville is a rescued baby Savannah Monitor. He came to be in very bad shape; emaciated, colors not good, etc. After a few days I got him to eat some crickets that had been left in a bag with Innova Seniro canned dog food. This "laced" the crickets with the scent of the dog food. Within a week Neville was eating killed crickets that were embedded in the dog food. After a few more days, he began to consume the dog food with relish. He is now incredibly fat and has beautiful coloration. His activity level has also quadrupled! Growth rate is alarming, as is common with these guys. And the monitor "attitude" has surfaced, meaning daily handling is required in order to avoid ending up with a monster once he (or she) gets bigger. UPDATE: Neville, already three times as big as the "baby" picture posted here, was adopted out to a trusted member of the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society. Simply put, I had run up against the old 'space limit' threshold. Having had to build a very large cage for the iguana, and with the tegu's enclosure taking up half of my office, there simply was no place to put what was going to be a very large male Savannah.
