Comments:	this was a snapping turtle that I purchased from a local fisherman, who was planning to eat him. He was used for a year in educational shows, and then set free into salt creek up where I lived. He was actually quite placid after about a month of work, in the end he would only snap if you put something in his mouth. I was very fond of him and still miss him, but I couldn't keep him from the wild where he had lived so long before I got him. he was 32lbs when released, 29lbs when captured originally..
