Well, his other gecko is Cactus. So I wanted something that was like a flowery cactus since this one is only a tiny bloom. :) Of course, Carl doesn't know I named him. But he calls all animals Mutt anyway. :) The Opuntia genus includes prickly pears, a pretty cactus with red fruit. At least that is what Wikipedia told me!
