Thanks for the kind words. A little background on Moluccans. Moluccans are probably the most common member of the scrub python complex, which includes amethystines, Tanimbars, Halmaheras, and a few others. Males typically grow larger than females with an adult Moluccan reaching around 9-10 feet. All scrubs tend to be at least semi-arboreal and possess wicked feeding responses. Think retic crossed with the teeth of a GTP. Like most scrubs, Mols also have fairly bad attitudes. I am fortunate in that Jose' is great once he's out of the cage, but I've heard others compare their snakes to white-lips; i.e. they will bite your face off. As far as availability, check the kingsnake classifieds for amethystines or scrub pythons. There are always a few for sale, but you won't really know if its a Moluccan, southern amethystine, or some other locality unless you're either familiar with the patterning or you ask. Price will range between around $150-$250, normally.
