Comments:	This is my first Savannah Monitor, and my first attempt to keep one. So far so good, the birthday is an approx, he was just a hatchling when I bought him, and now he is about 12 inches long in 6 months. he would probably been bigger if I fed him rodents, but so far his diet is totally insect based. He has also had the San Diego Zoo diet, but he wasn't too fond of that yet. His husbandry has a little bit more than half a foot of a dirt/sand mix for him to dig in, humidity is about 70% with his hottest spot in the cage is 135 F and he loves it.
