Comments:	These are my babies, they were collected on June 22-27. There were originally 16 eggs. Four were bad eggs and were thrown out after 7 days of incubation. I candled them! Yes it is possible to candle turtle eggs. Twelve were fertile, nine of them hatched the other three unfortunately didn't hatch. They hatched August 23-25. I released 5 after they were ready to go, kept one and gave away three. They were laid in the wild to begin with. I do this every summer and I am successful each time.
