Sometimes there is a HUGE difference between red and yellow neonates, especially with designers. There is a reason reds are usually more valuable than yellows. I've seen red juveniles sell quickly for $3K-$6K while their yellow siblings sit around at $300-$600. There are certain traits that yellow neos simply will not develop that reds can. This is especially true of blueline and melanistic animals. Many breeders will agree that reds from these bloodlines have better genetic potential than their yellow siblings. Even in high yellow bloodlines where the yellows have potential to exhibit the desirable traits of the line, the reds are still just as valuable, if not more. Also, more often than not, I can look at an adult GTP and tell you what color they hatched. Sorry Bart and Mel. I had to say something. -p-

Just the color, jkelly. They all go through their color change and once a clutch has reached adulthood, you can't tell who was born what color.

It's like a dragon. What is the difference between the red neonates and the yellows?
