I put a much better updated photo. It is not true what everyone is saying about having a pet soil hole, she comes out almost every night between 2-4am and climbs and hangs on the side wall (don't ask why I'm awake that late so often :P). The rest of the time though, she is invis as expected.

Photo makes ID difficult. Likely H. lividum. If it is, my concern is the housing. Cobalt blues are terrible first tarantulas. In addition to their hyperaggressive dispositions, and the fact that it is wild-caught, you have a deep burrowing tropical species that will not fare well unless it has deep damp substrate in which to burrow. Thus, you will never see it if it is housed correctly. I always tell people to take a good photo and tape it to the outside of the enclosure. Keeping H. lividum properly is like having a pet tank of soil. Best of luck, Michael [exoticfauna.com, tarantulas.com]

T's are awesome!!!! It is hard to see the colors in the pic. But what you describe sounds like a Cobalt Blue.
