Comments: 5/12/13 - she's been better at eating lately. I don't offer every week, so it helps that she is hungry... Also, the heat and humidity here in FL have been helping her I think. She seems very happy and social lately. She climbs on everything and makes good use of her entire vision cage complete will all climbing opportunities. I think her living with so many carpets gets her confused. I find her chilling in the crook of her branch sometimes even during the day... Can snakes have identity crises?

1/16/13 - she's definitely not shy at night, only when I wake her during the middle of the day. I was working in the herp room later than usual last night, and SLH was all over the front of her tank looking like she wanted to come out. So I opened the doors to all the snake cages, including hers. I turned around for a moment to grab a crestie food dish, and when I turned back, she was 2/3 of the way out of her cage. I snagged her up and draped her over my shoulder. She spent the next hour exploring my shoulders and arms as I putzed around the herp room. She even tried to explore the cat, who quickly ducked away from her. I really love this little girl :) Now I just need her to eat regularly for me ;)

11/20/12 - looking back through her tracking, the changes in light, humidity & heat have not helped her unhappiness in her vision cage... She was eating relatively regularly in her tank, but refuses more often than not in her vision... She will move back to a tank when we move at the end of the month... Hopefully that will help her pick up the habit of eating again.
------------------------------------------
Pet only due to severe overbite... Purchased from Action Reptiles in jan 2011. She took forever to finally start eating for me, though it took me forever to finally figure out she needed help getting started on her food. I hope some day she will strike and take on her own, but for now I have to put the head in her mouth so she coils and eats. It took me 9 months and several prey types to figure this out. She its a great eater now tho, and takes anything I put in her mouth.

I truly love this little girl and am so glad I found her. I had never had luck with bp's before, so this is really special for me. Now I just need my wife to feel the same way ;)

6/25/12 - She's been eating on her own for a few months now... I want to say the last 4 months. Of course, it's hit or miss... most of the time she strikes, but she doesn't always actually eat it after constricting. But she's eating and striking on her own, so maybe it's a husbandry thing... Like with Scarlet, my salmon red tail, I've been tweaking the parameters hoping to make her happy enough to regularly eat. Needless to say I'm totally in love with my special little girl. She's my second favorite (don't tell her... Sugar Cane just has an endearing and social personality, so he wins top spot). ;)

7/14/12 - so, I'm beginning to think she doesn't like her vision cage as much as she liked her tank... The parameters are the same for temp, but humidity is better in here. She just doesn't eat as often. I had finally gotten her to take dips weekly, and I thought this would help with environments, but I think it stresses her out... Going to tweak a bit more (bump up the hot spot to 98 from its current 96, and add a few more climbing spots, as well as add a light overhead for the light cycle... We will see.
