Animal Name: Mrs. Hoovers the Turds I, II & III
Reference Code: AGM
Species: -- not defined --
Sex: Female
Comments: African Giant Millipedes
6/6/15 - the last of my ladies passed :( Kinda sad. Had them all since '07 or so...No babies came from pairing the male with the females, and the male is still MIA (though unsure where he could be b/c I can't see a way he could have escaped his container).

4/21/14 - another of the females passed. She should have been about 10 years old by now. I'm down to 1 female and the little male, thought the female has not been seen in months. She's likely under the substrate somewhere, but I'm not going to go digging for her in case of a molt or something else that might cause harm if I dig. Still holding out for babies.

12/8/13 - one of the females passed away. She was an adult when I purchased her, and I had her since 2007, so I would guess her age at 8+years. Hope the others do well with the little male and I have some babies from them.

4/10/13 - ordered a male for these girls last night. He should be arriving in 6 days. I'm beyond psyched to get to work with trying to breed them. I hope all goes well and my investment pays off in millipedes for all the enclosures (barring any that may be inherently dangerous for the millipedes). I'm also hoping I will have enough to help revive them in the pet trade (and with larger lizard keepers). They are really a fascinating and wonderful species to keep. I think everyone should have at least one! ;)

9/9/12 - managed to pull them all today and they are all female :( I need to get my hands on a male or 2... They are just SO expensive now :(

I managed to seperate one out so far (they hide really well in a planted, naturalistic viv), and it's a girl. I'm hoping at least one of the other 2 is a male. And I hope I can find him soon enough to get breeding going on these guys. They really are quite cool. I would love to see more CB AGM's in the hobby.

7/8/12 - saw these guys selling for $70-$80/piece at the show today... wow have things changed!! I got mine for $8 each back in '07. I really wish more people were breeding them and they were more prevalent in the hobby. I hear they are easy to breed, but mine havn't done anything since that first offspring and for the life of me I can't get them all out of the viv they are in now (they hide really well). They do an awesome cleanup job, and they are quite the fun little critters!
