Comments:	Acquired in June of 2000, this was my first chondropython. She was a rose-red color as a neonate/juvenile, hence her name. She has produced 3 clutches thus far, with one fertile egg resulting from all three pairings. This egg went full term and hatched at only 3-4 grams, and unfortunately died shortly after emerging. She is currently recovering from a bad case of mouth rot caused by biting a pair of metal hemostats during feeding. It is hoped that she will make a full recovery and be able to breed again. She is a rather large animal for her species, weighing in at about 1800-1900 grams when in peak condition. Died June 22, 2008.
