Comments:	I was named for the Amazonian Basin lizard-dog god, Teju-Jagua and am an unusual Columbian Tegu in the sense that I'm extremely docile, and always have been. I'm a rescue animal, pulled from a 'dead box' at a pet store. My owner has had me since I was just over 8 inches long (total length). I credit regular daily handling, good cage husbandry and plenty of 'running around' exercise outside the cage as factors in my owner's success in taming me. He thinks I'm the best reptile pet he's ever owned!
