Comments:	-This one did not eat well enough to make it through winter and passed on us-He made it to early spring and as a last ditch attempt to feed him we had him with the female hoping being communal would settle him more. It's possible they bred in this short time though. -photos will be updated soon- -Same story as the previous garter really just a year after. Wild Caught in family basement. Said family is scared to death of snakes and would have killed it if I had not been there. This small snake has very orange color over the entire body with darker orange on the sides and belly. I'm used to seeing a lighter yellow, tan, and cream dorsal on these with a grayish to black set of stripes not with such orange. Will take photos after it sheds for me. Might try to keep it long term and switch it over to mice if it does eat well. I'm about 90% sure by looking it over that it is a male but will probe Summer of 2023. -Was eating occasional small frozen thawed pinkie mice. It had small fenbendazole treatments injected into the pinkies with every feeding. Stopped eating around 12/15/2022. -Protozoan dewormer treatment metroplex completed 10/22/22 -Preventative medicated mite bath completed 9/25/2022. Continued baths with protozoan dewormer will start 9/27/2022 every few days for the next three weeks. The protozoan dewormer I use by the way is called metroplex and is normally used on fish. I put it in the snakes water to drink as well as giving it baths in it. All water being diluted of course. Roundworm dewormer will not be started until I know the snake is eating well.
