08/11 Sickness - Sickness- Today was a very very sad day as I had to uthinize Rose. She was very sick lately with getting worse as the days went by. She had a severe infection and her prolapse condition was progressing since her escape a couple of months ago. She stopped eating and her parts hanging out of her waere rotting and turning black and there was puss coming out.

Comments: Rose was one of my corn snakes that I had purchased back in August of 2008 actually I bought her for my at the time 4 yr old neice. She was and still is very beautiful and was very gentle and sweet/docile in nature. August 18, 2009 Rose escaped her enclosure and hadn't been seen since. Well on March 29, 2010 a neighbor and maintenance guy for the trailer park was underneath our trailer getting a latter and saw Rose in a PVC pipe. Jon remembered me telling him a while back that one of my corn snakes had escaped and he remembered what Rose had looked like so he caught her for me and put her in a bucket until I got home and sure enough it was Rose. Rose had to be uthinized on 8/11/14 due to her progressing pro lapse condition from her laying a bad clutch of eggs in 2013 and once she got out earlier this year and found her condition started to worsen. I had to put her down. :( I will always miss my Rose- she was very sweet.

Congrats on the eggs!! What a touching story... My oldest corn was quite the escape artist when he (and I) were much younger. I'm glad those days of worrying have been long over. :)
