04/16/19	Comments	RIP My Little Girl		She was still okay this morning when we looked in on her; however when we checked again at 12:21pm after lunch to clean her and put more ointment on she was gone. Found her upside down already stiff. What sucks is that her wounds were getting better and that was the reason we waited on the vet visit. I will go and check the medication ointment and put the full name up later. But it had been working. I had this girl for so long and we went through so much. I just wonder why she went so quickly when she had been okay in the morning. I've seen other snakes in the collection of SUNY CObleskill's college have tiny minor infections like hers started out as and seen them overcome it no problem without vet prescribed medication. So I'm rather shook about this and honestly I was wanting to stop breeding the corns in the first place or limit it to many years of no breeding. I do regret letting the other partner of Tribalcorns decide to breed her and I wish we still had her today.

04/15/19	Medicated	Ointment on Love Bite Wounds		The wounds themselves have decreased in size and do seem to be getting better. Rougale is still slow though which is worrying. We may bring her to the vet if this does not change in a few days time.

At first they hadn't been too bad looking, but as time went on they did not heal, but got worse. So now she is separated and living in a clean tub with only paper towel at the bottom of it. We clean her wounds every day ow and apply ointment afterwards.

04/11/19	Removed Male	Removed [ADB03.00.00.PG.0007.S] Apollo Diablo Bacon		One of the love bites we had been watching closely from Ares while trying to copulate with Rougale are starting to look bad. So we've removed her from Apollo's tank and put Rougale into a clean enclosure with paper towel at the bottom and a small watering dish. Her wounds were cleaned and some vet prescribed ointment was put on the wounds.
04/08/19	Comments	Expecting Lay Dates		Mid April is the first date (April 15th) that we could expect a clutch form her had Ares been successful the first day or two he had been paired with her. So if she does drop around this time then Ares is most definitely the father. If she drops end of april or well into May this might be a mixed sired clutch with Apollo and Ares, or it might just be Apollos. We should be able to tell though based off the looks of the babies.

While he is in shed we have put her in with Apollo, our striped tessera het for anery,hypo, and pied bloodred, to see how he reacts. Again the male was very interested but after hours of watching we decided to leave them be and keep them together until Ares has finished shedding. Depending on Ares mood after shedding we may just keep Rougale in with Apollo instead.

06/11/16	Laid Eggs	wtf clutch		This girl has never ever been bred and the closes to a male she's been has been in my hands with a male also being watched and held in my hands. It's normal for females to lay a whole clutch of duds during breeding/laying season, but one of her ten eggs has noticeable veins in it despite having the look of a bad egg. I'm 99% sure it will mold in the next week in the incubator, but at least I'll try to incubate it. Update 6/22/2016 - the one egg with veins was candled without veins on 6/18 and by 6/20 it was molding and collapsing on itself. The egg was taken out of the incubator and discarded.

10/11/15	Sickness	Flatworms		This snake as well as all but one of the other adults defecated half digested mice which were full of worms. The mice are no longer being used and the mouse breeder is being notified. Snakes begin deworming next week.

The new caretaker will only be doing paper tracking of the animals feeding, defecating, shedding, cleaning, and taking notes.
