| I never witnessed an ovulation, nor did she seem to become gravid. It's possible that Oliver is a sterile male, but more likely Samea is just a young python and needs another season or two -- this year, to my knowledge, was the first year she was properly cycled. As Uggs seems to have come around, I may return Samea to Eric and simply try pairing Oliver to Uggs next season. |

| I was not privy to the 'penes, but all other copulatory indicators -- apparent "flirting" (i.e. tail tickling, head alignment, etc.), intertwined bodies/tails, sharing a box -- were apparent. |

| Cloacal dragging observed in female. Faint blood stains observed on substrate. Pungent odor noted in enclosure. Both animals refused food. All indicators of reproductive activity in water and olive pythons as per Barker & Barker (1994). Good signs! |
