08/21/20	Comments	Single Fertile Egg in Incubation Died		I was keeping an eye on the single fertile egg that Casper laid and a few days before this is had started smelling like cut grass. I knew it would hatch a few days to a week after this. The morning of the 21st I woke up and smelled the egg as normal but it had a bad dead odor. I candled the egg saw no movement, and after some prodding and no movement I decided to cut it open. The baby had about a day's worth of yolk left, but it was very dead. The color was definitely a ghost but a darker one like Casper. It's neck had a very bad kink which is what I suspect ended this baby just before hatching. Photos will be attached.
08/19/20	Laid Eggs	Laid the last Stuck Egg		Casper finished laying her double clutch which was all infertile eggs. The last egg was stuck for a day as the rest were laid. We are sure she is finished now and are keeping an eye on her.

06/09/20	Laid Eggs	Laid the last of her clutch		Thankfully she passed the rest of her clutch. 9 out of the ten eggs were clearly infertile. Only one egg among the clutch looks and candled fertile but I'm not sure if it is still good having been in her for so long. We will incubate it and see.

She has at least 6 more eggs in her but after a quick look over and gentle massage (full day and a half after 1st egg laid) her eggs are not stuck. The passage is clear as well. We will wait and see for another day or two keeping an eye on her energy level before we get her to a vet. Unfortunately most of the exotic vets aren't taking many in right now with the pandemic going on.

10/10/19	Comments	Starting Brumation Winter of 2019 to Early Spring of 2020.		Starting Brumation Winter of 2019 to Early Spring of 2020. Most of the corns have not eaten for two weeks before this time and are now off of their heat pads. The room temperature will gradually go down to between 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit for the winter. They will not be fed during this time, only water cleaning will be done. Casper has been closely watched due to her age and size, but will still be going into brumation as she is very healthy with no trouble. She will be watched through brumation and the first signs of any trouble she will be taken out and warmed back up.

06/10/18	Comments	Approximately 15 days left		About 15 days left until we start to expect the clutch to pip and hatch. Still candling well with decent movement in those full eggs. We today moved them out of the coconut fiber incubation substrate and onto a moist towel to keep the hatchlings safe when they hatch. We don't want a baby snake to accidentally inhale or ingest the coconut fiber substrate and later die like one of our first healthy crested geckos babies did. We'll keep a close on on the humidity for the last two weeks of incubation.

10/11/15	Sickness	Flatworms		This snake as well as all but one of the other adults defecated half digested mice which were full of worms. The mice are no longer being used and the mouse breeder is being notified. Snakes begin deworming next week.

The new caretaker will only be doing paper tracking of the animals feeding, defecating, shedding, cleaning, and taking notes. 06/09/15	Eggs Hatched	Pipping		Stayed up late for a while then checked them right before bed. Three had pipped since noon the previous day when I last checked them.
04/21/15	Comments	Still incubating well		Much like our previous years fine tuning our incubating processes, this year we had a little trouble with the eggs soon after they were laid. They were nice and plump while going into the incubator, but then a few days later started flattening and becoming dented. We continually misted throughout the day to fix this, and eventually they did plump back up. Hopefully humidity is good for now.

03/24/15	Comments	Looking Big and Gravid		Unlike the other female she truly looks gravid and not just fat. Triangular middle and back end is very obvious from the eggs eating away at her fat . She's also twice as big as normal in her lower half of her body till the cloaca. Very rounded ventral scales from her middle to the end of her body to the cloaca.
03/24/15	Removed Male	Removed [] Apollo Diablo Bacon		He has done his job though only one copulation was seen by me. He was left with the female for a week afterward. So I'm pretty sure he got the job done. Especially with how big she is.
03/12/15	Observed Copulation	Copulation with [] Apollo Diablo Bacon		Technically I believe the female copulated with the male. He didn't have huge interest until she had herself wound around him. Found them locked up with her on top though his tail end was wound around hers.
03/12/15	Weight	281 Grams		Knowing her history and that she will never really grow over the 300 gram mark (unless I make her obese) I have decided to breed her at 280 grams.
