| We fed True a 1 lb. Rabbit today. Even though we know that she can take a much bigger prey item, we are really trying to keep her on a maintenance feeding schedule. She also has not been fed in 3 months so we do not want to shock her digestive system by giving her a big meal. She will continue to thrive as well as remain healthy. |

| Today we received "True" from Anthony. She is 10 years old. Anthony's brother had left for Pennsylvania leaving this big girl with his mom and brother. Anthony's brother told us that she was a "True Red Tail Boa" ( BCC) when we asked him wich BCC locale she was he told me that she was a Peruvian. Upon further research and looking closer, we are almost 100 % sure she is not a Peruvian. Due to her size we do Believe for sure that she is a BCI x BCC. True is still a virgin and according to the previous owner she was never introduced to a male. True has a great disposition and is very docile. Anthony explained she had always shed in 1 piece ( sometimes multiple pieces just due to her size) and always shed her eye caps. They had been feeding her a Rabbit once a month ( didnt specify rabbit size). She has not eaten in about 2 months which is ok because we are in Feeding/ Cooling cycles. As of right now and due to her size we will not be focused on breeding her. We will be doing a maintenance feeding schedule because she does not need to put on any more weight. |
