| While cleaning Egypts tub we found "A" mite on the lid. We sprayed her with the 2 % NIX solution and soaked her in the tub. We will treat again in a few days. |

| Egypt is still expelling some air through her nose like she is just taking deep breaths. We have not seen any open mouth breathing at all, hopefully all this was strictly stress related. We will continue to keep her on increased heat for a little while longerand keep an eye on her. ( skipping this feeding cycle, will feed her next time) |

| Today we heard Egypt making a hacking noise. She would open her mouth and act as if she was trying to get something out of her throat. It was seriously loud & Disturbing. I felt her while she made these noises and you could feel something like a rattle. Her throat started puffing out like Diamonds did. I called Chris Flanders who we got her from , he said that she didnt show any signs or symptoms of illness, he checked his collection while he was on the phone with me and everyone seemed fine. He made a good point when he said snakes could lose teeth pretty easy and maybe during the move she could have knocked her face causing a tooth to come out and maybe come lodged in her throat. He told me to go and get "Listerine Smart Rinse" It has no alcohol but it will dissinfect. He said to get the berry flavor ( the mint flavor will deter them from eating) Soak a Q tip in the Listerine and rub inbetween the two rows of teeth and inside the lip. Take the Q tip and stick it just down the throat with a sweeping motion to the side so if anything is in there it could possibly come out. We put her in Quarantine in our room and raised her temps because whatever this could be it could be stress related as well. I went and got the supplies Chris suggested. The inside of her mouth was dark, but there was not an abundance of mucous or saliva. I did sweep out a small goop of something, it looked like a phlegm ball. I had thought I had gotten a tooth but really couldnt be sure. While I was doing the procedure the only noise she mafe was as if she was expelling air and that was the only noise she made after I was done. We put her back into the room to continue quarantine. Chris told me if she didnt get better then we can bring her back to him and he will do whatever is necissary to take care of her even if he has to take her to see Dr. JD and then when she gets better he will make sure she gets back to us. |

| Egypt Came to us from Chris Flanders (tOnegOd) as well. She is about 6 years old ( 2004) Tarahumara Mountain Boa ( Mexican Boa). Chris got her about a Year and a half ago from a guy named Chad K. with the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society (PNWHS) She is a little Pudgy, Chris was feeding her a XXL Jumbo Rat every 2 weeks. She has always been a really good eater, but Chris said that she will take a sabbatical from eating anytime she is moved ( he has switched her to a different enclosure in the snake room at one point and she wouldnt eat for a couple weeks Until she was settled in) This will usually only last a single feeding cycle before she begins to take food again. Egypt is very docile and sweet. |
