My Reptile Interests

I have had reptiles for over seven years, but due to my post-college lifestyle of moving around all the time to work fun jobs, I re-homed my 3 snakes with good, trusted friends and and moved on to something a little bit lower maintenance - Crested Geckos! I have fallen in love with them and although my primary reason for keeping them is because I think they're cute and they make great pets, I do plan to get into occasional hobby breeding! My first pair of geckos produced a few eggs last season but only one hatched out. I plan to be more prepared this upcoming season and I'll be acquiring an incubator and setting up a proper nesting box for my female.

I every kind of outdoor activity! I spend a lot of time hiking with my dog, saltwater fishing and back-country camping in the summer months, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. I just love exploring and being outside! Bonfires and beers also make it to the top of my list :)

I was a recreation management major in college and I've worked an eclectic variety of jobs from crewing on a schooner to rangering for the National Park Service to guiding kids on outdoor adventures. I love what I do!
