My Reptile Interests
I now have two rainbow boas, and it's pretty safe to say I've fallen in love with them. I got my first snake in May of 2015. I am new to snake-keeping, though I have always enjoyed holding snakes. I am willing to take any advice! I do field herping, for I do a lot of hiking and I like to pick up snakes I see.
Other Interests
I am a bird biologist who works for The Peregrine Fund. So, I love birding and science! I am a dinosaur nerd as well. I also hike, ski, play video games, watch anime and cartoons, and read lots.
Music
I love anything that sounds "epic." Symphonic heavy metal, trance and dance techno, movie and video game soundtracks, classical, and anything else that is sweeping and dramatic. I also have a soft spot for Jazz, since my dad is a jazz musician and I grew up with it.
Movies
I love animated movies the best (yes I am forever 12 years old). How to Train Your Dragon, Spirited Away, Rescuers Down Under, Mulan, Princess Mononoke....those are some of my favorites. I like a ton! I also enjoy The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Mad Max: Fury Road, and other fun movies like that.
Professional
I am a professional bird biologist, now working for The Peregrine Fund. The Peregrine Fund is a non-profit organization devoted to the study and conservation of birds of prey. I work with American Kestrels right now, trying to figure out why that species is declining. I will be starting my Master's degree soon as well.
