I have a passionate fascination and admiration for all reptiles, but snakes have always been my first reptile love. I also just recently got my girlfriend over her snake & reptile phobia/stigma, so hopefully working up to a tegu eventually, but will probably start with some smaller lizards to ease her along while I'm gaining the needed experience to care for a beautiful creature like a tegu...

I love animals, and have recently gotten back into keeping pets. I took years away from being a pet owner because I was unfit to give any animals the care they needed while I was struggling with alcoholism and addiction. I made the responsible decision to find homes for all my animals because they deserved better than what I was willing and able to provide at the time. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to have the love and support of family and with their help I was able to clean up a little over 4 years ago. I decided a little over a year ago to get back into pets and started with a 55 gallon aquarium and my passion was reignited. My pet family has since grown to two 55 gallon aquariums, 2 snakes, 4 ferrets and my girlfriends cat. We are a big (and still growing) family. I've even got my girlfriend on board :-)
