My Reptile Interests
|
|
I've been keeping reptiles since I was 8 years old. My first ever reptile was a garter snake. She was a wonderful snake, and would still to this day be living with me if my mom didn't overfeed her.
My first ever rescued reptile was when I was 10. I got a Bearded Dragon for free off of Craigslist that was nearly dead. I nursed her back to health, and she thrived for another 5 years. Her kidneys finally got the best of her and she needed to be put to sleep. She is what started my passion for rescuing reptiles. It has manifested itself into an obsession over the years. I will probably post an essay I made on her later.
The reptiles I own now include:
1.2 Ball Pythons
1.0 Spider Ball Python (coming this month)
0.1 Black Pine snake
0.1 Brazilian Rainbow boa
3.3 Leopard geckos, various morphs
0.0.1 Viper Gecko
0.0.1 Crested Gecko (may have a new home)
1.1 Bearded dragons
I am currently rehabilitating:
1.0.1 Ball Pythons
1.0 Gopher snake
Once they are healthy, they will go back to the pet shop that they belong to. No, it wasn't their fault, it was some idiot that dropped them off to the store in horrible shape.
Other than reptiles, I also own:
1.2 Rats
3.11 African Soft-Furred rats
1.0 Crowntail Betta
1.0 English Bulldog
And lots of bugs!!!
