My Reptile Interests

Started in Kenya when I was 8 and bitten by a snake near at Mark Easterbrooks near Malindi while my mother calmly filmed. It was probably a sand snake, Psammophis sibilans (I did not have any reaction). On returning to London went through a phase of checking the bed for snakes until I learned you could keep them as pets. It took several years of pestering to get my first garter snakes...
and I had garters and a corn until I left for Taiwan at 22. Didn't actively herp there as I was focussed on martial arts, still enjoyed some impromptu meetings with a krait, cobra, keelback some seas snakes and a few others.
Two years ago I moved into a new flat, bough my daughter her first very mortal goldfish and began to think about snakes again. Ron Weagly the corn snake was the first... trying to keep the habit in check. This site probably won't help.
