My Reptile Interests
Oh, all of the above! I've been fascinated by reptiles since I was very young. Growing up in south Louisiana, there were tons of creepy-crawlies to be found and nabbed and observed and released again, with the whole cycle to be repeated the very next day. My very first snake was a ribbon snake named Houdini, who lived up to his name and escaped shortly after we obtained him. Over the years I've owned a variety of snake species and worked with several others in the field. At present, my focus is on corn snakes, but I'm branching into ball pythons and hognoses, and will probably continue to expand from there. Other herps are interesting (I've got a weak spot for uromastyx and monitors), but snakes will always hold my heart.

Other Interests
Other...interests? I'm a big fan of OUTSIDE. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, anything combining the lot. Adventure is out there! I aim to find it. Indoors, I LOVE to cook and enjoy experimenting with recipes. I'm a big reader (mostly fantasy novels) and usually have a book on-hand. I also spend an unreasonable amount of time online, writing my own storylines.

Music
I appreciate most music...depending on my mood, time of day, etc. I've been known to listen to classical orchestral pieces for hours, only to spontaneously switch to screaming hard rock on a whim. I've been playing the piano since a young age (though I don't presently own one), and I have a little bit of experience with a few other instruments. -Everything-, and I do mean -everything-, reminds me of a song, and more often than not I will at least quote a line from said song, if not just sing it.

Movies
I am awful with names. There was that movie...with that one guy.... That was a good movie. I like movies. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I am a huge fan of Netflix. When I do have access to cable television, I tend to watch the History Channel and Food Network, sooo...that's how interesting I am there.

Professional
Recently graduated from the University of Maine with a double major in chemistry and zoology. Presently, I'm taking a break from school to refresh my brain before heading back to pursue a graduate degree. (I'm an HPLC technician in an analytical chemistry lab, working for a process engineering company, etc etc...) Ideally, when I go back to school, I'll be pursuing an MS(or PhD, debating) in biochemistry, studying the mechanisms of venom proteins.
