I initially started off with a Cali kingsnake, back when I was around 12/13ish, after keeping those for 6 years and actually successfully breeding once, I wanted something bigger, or more hefty body wise and got my first ball python in 2006. In 2011 I got the itch for something a little bigger and purchased a Super Dwarf retic hatchling. Knowing I was going to eventally have yet another itch for a bigger snake I had to get me a burmese before the ban was enacted and purchased a hatchling 3 weeks before the ban started. In total I'd say I have kept snakes for over 10 yrs, and counting.
