My Reptile Interests

Back in the ancient days of 2010, I finally decided it was time to get a snake. So I googled "reptile rescue." I walked in with $40, walked out with a snow corn, and walked back in about three days later as a volunteer. And thus began the saga.
This whole snake thing quickly constricted my life like a rat and swallowed it. Not in the bad way, mind. It just appears to be my niche. I've advanced in my big-snake-dork career to the coveted position of Adoptions Coordinator for my local herp society. I foster, I do outreach, and I yammer about snakes at length whenever I am given the opportunity. I assume I must be pretty tiresome to know. (Well, maybe not for you guys.)
I have six corn snakes, one Chinese green snake, three carpet pythons, two Tanimbar pythons, and one crested gecko. One more and I'm gonna stop for a while, I swear.

Other Interests

I'm a silversmith and corsetiere, and I also make other clothing occasionally. I read a lot, I write sometimes, and I spend way too much time on the internet.

Music

Oooh, lots of these! I do play guitar, though not very well, and keyboards. I also sing a MEAN karaoke.
Favourite bands include They Might Be Giants, Firewater, Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantomas, Leonard Cohen, The Sisters of Mercy, The Dead Milkmen, The Damned, Jonathan Coulton, REM, and Moxy Fruvous (anyone remember them?).

Also fond of Heathers, Hudson Hawk, Death Race 2000, the original Kingdom series, Sweeney Todd, and the musical version of Little Shop of Horrors.

I make coffee. Not money, just coffee. We'll see if I ever move up in the world. A dear friend of mine once told me that I was a Cautionary Tale, and I've never seen much evidence to the contrary on the job front. I shall die in debt, but be damned if my pets won't be well cared for.
