My Reptile Interests
|
|
I began keeping a host of different reptiles, amphibians and other animals at a very young age. A garter snake was the first pet I chose for myself, at the age of four. Every minute of free time was spent learning about and caring for the various exotic, native and domesticated species I kept or hiking through the sage steppeland surrounding my home. The geckos in the local exotic pet shop always fascinated me the most as a child. This passion drove me to become a conservation biologist. That has come full circle. Now that I work on the human biology side of things, my private collection of geckos, boas, milk snakes and skinks and my gecko breeding business has become my outlet for animal biology.
